Motion triggered room lighting saves energy

MissionPeak

Go green and reduce your energy bill. Learn how to use a motion sensor and light sensor with this project that can pay itself. A home security motion sensor turns on lights in your room. Light automatically turns off after several minutes of inactivity or during daytime. Best of all, it can control any household appliances because it is built with an ordinary household extension cord.

Hi! I have some questions about the project your selling here. I'd like you to email me at flyman1999@verizon.net. Thank you!

I love that you did this 'old school' instead of throwing in an Arduino or something. I'll be recommending this to students - possibly swapping in a wall wart for power and skipping the high voltage parts. A variation that controls an LED light would be wonderful for kids to build without supervision.
