USB Powered RGB Color Shifting Night Light

RossS
This is a simple Arduino based kit that uses a small AVR microcontroller (ATtiny85) to control a color shifting night light. It has a light sensor that enables it to turn on and off according to the ambient light.

It demonstrates that while an Arduino is useful for prototyping, other smaller and cheaper microcontrollers can be used in permanent fixtures, saving the hobbyist considerable expense over the long term.
